Ergonomic 3-Position Backplate
Freedom of movement for fire fighters is essential for job performance and personal safety. The Dräger PSS 7000 was designed to move with you—allowing unrestricted movement as you walk, crawl or climb. The 3-position carbon fiber composite backplate adjusts to comfortably fit different torso lengths and the weight of the harness is designed to ride on your hips not your shoulders to help reduce fatigue. The self-adjusting and pivoting waist belt keeps the SCBA on your hips when you move preventing your coat from riding up and provides significant improvement in range of motion over fixed waist belts.
Innovative Harness System
Dräger SCBAs are designed with a lower center of gravity to increase stability and balance, allowing you to work more effectively with less fatigue. The PSS 7000 features an adjustable harness system that provides the ultimate in comfort and extended wear. Durable webbing and advanced compression-molded comfort padding offers up to 6.5X higher abrasion resistance than traditional padding.
The harness has a high-grip, anti-slip inner surface that stays securely in place—without the need for a chest strap or having to over-tighten the shoulder straps. Cooling channels in the shoulder straps and waist belt reduce the likelihood of compression burns. A stainless steel harness-friction buckle makes the SCBA fast and easy to don and doff. The material is easy to clean and disinfect, and is highly resistant to chemical and mechanical damage. A slide-and-lock harness mechanism allows the harness and waist belt to be connected or removed from the backplate quickly without the need for tools.
Integrated Systems Reduce Risk and Increase Versatility
To minimize the risk of damage or snagging, the Dräger Sentinel 7000 electronic system and air supply hoses are integrated into the back plate. To further streamline the harness, the lung demand valve (LDV), Dräger Sentinel system, and rescue hoses can be routed over the shoulders (two hoses per side). Conventional waist-mounted hoses can also be fitted to the carrying system, making the Dräger PSS 7000 one of the most versatile SCBA systems available. T
Dräger Sentinel 7000 Integrated PASS & Monitoring System
Incorporating a centralized power supply the Sentinal 7000 is an all-in-one distress signal unit and pressure gauge. The Dräger Sentinel 7000 provides continuous monitoring of operational status for Dräger NFPA-certified SCBA's (2018 Editions). All information is brought together clearly and rapidly on one easy-to-read digital display.

Lightning Fast Cylinder Changes
Utilizing the established Dräger PSS Pneumatics and cylinder strap design, the Dräger PSS 5000 features a lock-and-load Quick Connect cylinder system that allows you to exchange SCBA cylinders in as little as ten (10) seconds. The quick connect features a safety interlock system which prevents cylinder disconnection at pressures above 70 psi. Traditional CGA threaded cylinder connection is also available.
Carbon Composite Cylinders
Made of proven aircraft-grade materials and fabricated by processes that far exceed industry norms, Dräger’s line of robust carbon composite cylinders offer customizing, including: custom color coding, custom ID lables or the addition of your fire department or agency logo. Buddy Breather
In addition to the universal air connection on the first stage regulator, an optional 40” Buddy Breather is available. The Buddy Breather allows two firefighters to breath off a single air cylinder. Because of the versitile hose routing on the PSS 5000, the Buddy Breather connection can be positioned on either shoulder strap. The Buddy Breather comes with a rugged storage pouch that can be positioned on the harness waist belt.

Designed to offer optimal visibility, the Dräger FPS 7000 full face mask sets new standards in terms of personal safety, protection and comfort. The FPS 7000 SCBA mask offers a large, unobstructed field of vision and a very comfortable and secure fit, while reducing or eliminating fogging during use. The FPS 7000 SCBA mask is highly versatile and will support multiple devices, including Dräger’s line of integrated communication systems.
