Quest Particle Blocking Hood

With extensive research and input from firefighters that put their lives on the line and expose themselves to CARCINOGENS every time that they are called to a fire, Quest has manufactured the BEST in protection, fit and durability in our the new Quest Particle Barrier Hood.

Quest has patterned this particle barrier hood after a tried and true design that has been in-service on the front lines for over 23 years.  Using a PBI/Lenzing blend and Dupont Nano Flex barrier; the Quest Particle Barrier Hood stops up to 95% of the potentially harmful sub-micron particles and other contaminants that can penetrate traditional hoods.

•    Outer layer:   PBI/Lenzing
•    Middle layer: Dupont Nomex Nano Flex – (blocks harmful particles and other contaminants)
•    Inner layer:    PBI/Lenzing

Both the PBI/Lenzing blend fabric and the Dupont Nano Flex barrier fabrics have been independently tested by Underwriter Laboratories (UL)

About Nomex Nano Flex
•    Will stop up to 95% of submicron particles
•    Very breathable and lightweight
•    Dries quickly due to the Nano sized fibers which creates channels for moisture to be carried out
•    LOI (limiting oxygen index) is almost higher than other firefighter PPE products
•    The material allows up to 90% air ventilation for comfort
•    TPP increases of 5-6 points while still allowing for situational awareness
